Cottage Complex

Welcome to Eildon Holiday Cottages

The wonderful Scottish Borders country is unspoilt and relatively unknown. It is a land of great historical interest and breathtaking beauty. Edinburgh is an easy drive to the north and the marvellous east coastline, with Holy Island and the great castles of Northumberland, is only an hour away.

In a fold of the Eildon Hills above the attractive small Border town of Melrose, Eildon Holiday Cottages is a converted eighteenth century farm steading forming six self-catering cottages. From the cottages there are magnificent views over the Tweed Valley to the Lammermuir and Moorfoot Hills beyond. Abbotsford, the home of the famous novelist, Sir Walter Scott, lies within four miles and there is much of interest for naturalists, historians, gardeners, architectural enthusiasts and sportsmen and women. We are approached through the fine 9-hole Melrose Golf Club with which we share a private road.

The cottages are modern, yet have been designed to have a "cottage" feel, and have old local field names to emphasise their individuality. All are bright, warm, comfortable, very well equipped and the adaptions we have made for less able visitors are subtle and unobtrusive. We have provided a setting for all members of the family to holiday together, and we are very proud that our cottages have won many awards. We hope you will agree with the judges and greatly enjoy your holiday with us.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Borders.
